MOV-S Madrid is a Space for International Exchange in Dance and Movement Arts held from June 10th to 13th 2010 and organized by Mercat de les Flors (Barcelona) and Reina Sofia Museum (Madrid). The event will have the participation of hundreds of international professionals who will share experiences, projects and information about The Active Spectator.
THE ACTIVE SPECTATOR — The third edition of MOV-S aims to delve into the reality of today’s audience. The relationship between actor and spectator can be enriched through the transformation from a passive spectator to an active spectator — who is the protagonist in their relationship with the artist. Considering the spectator as being intimately involved with the artist’s work is a path relatively little explored by the arts, in particular the dance and movement arts, and is a way for a large number of people to be involved in artistic creation.
ARTISTIC PROGRAMME — The event also will present more than 15 contemporary performances produced in Spain and played in various venues for movement arts in Madrid. Artists such as Sol Picó, Guilhermo Weickert, Sonia Gómez and Entremans are some of them.
