Festival Description

Acclaimed conductor Paul Hillier will commence his tenure as the new director of Ireland’s National Chamber Choir (NCC) this summer with Baltic Blues, a three-month international programme of choral music from countries bordering the Baltic Sea.Along with Paul Hillier, Baltic Blues will welcome conductors Bo Holten (founding conductor of Denmark’s Ars Nova) and Kaspars Putnins, as well as James Wood who will conduct the NCC for the first time. This series will also welcome back special guests, The Rascher Saxophone Quartet.
