| Festival Description | The Festival Shared Sounds features extraordinary European musicians, that combine jazz, folk and classical music with a sort of chamber sound. The strength of these innovators is the integration of stylistically and historically very different forms of musical expression. They manage to bring together early music with folk, minimalist music with funk, and new music with jazz, while notation music and improvisation co-exists in a symbiosis. The source of inspiration for the Festival Shared Sounds is the artistic work of Manfred Eichers, whose Label ECM Records Musiker brings together different contexts in its recordings, as well as embodies the principle of dialogue, which is also the fundamental principle of the artistic programme of RADIALSYSTEM V. Musicians from Norway, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and France enrich these dialogues across the national borders and musical languages. Shared Sounds is the festival in search for a aesthetic new land. The program includes concerts, workshops and discussions. |
