| Festival Description | The year 2008 sees the celebration of the sixth season of the Autostadt’s Movimentos Festival Weeks. The Wolfsburg region of Lower Saxony will reverberate to the sights and sounds of highly-acclaimed, exciting events. Six ensembles representing international contemporary dance perform in the KraftWerk, jazz pop and classical concerts, as well as readings and discussions, will keep audiences riveted not only with familiar, but also with new and ground-breaking performances. Underlying it all is the theme of this year’s Festival Weeks: "Vertrauen" or trust. Trust is fundamental to modern democratic society and the foundation on which human interaction is built. Yet to trust is to risk disappointment, and those in whom we invest our trust are honour-bound to justify our faith in them. The strong bond which is forged in this way may be much more powerful than many a contract. Movimentos – The Autostadt Festival Weeks, will explore this pertinent theme through a variety of disciplines. |
