| Festival Description | Each year goNorth alternates between Dundee and Inverness in Scotland. The two-day event features more than 50 bands from throughout the world. In addition to the performances there are scheduled workshops and seminars offering the opportunity for artists to meet people from the music industry from the UK and abroad. The festival originally took place on Aberdeen’s Belmont Street, and then shifted its venue to Inverness in 2007 as part of the “Highland 2007 year of Culture”. The festival was first held in 2001 to provide acts from the north of Scotland with a platform to showcase their talent. All goNORTH gigs are free and open to the public. |
