| Festival Description | The Lim Festival honors the quan ho form of folk singing invented by Hieu Trung Hau, an important Vietnamese cultural figure who is worshipped in the Lim Pagoda. A form that translates to "alternate singing," quan ho is characterized by improvised lyrics and songs that are often performed as though the participants are feeding off of each other. Featured events also include the weaving competition of the Noi Due girls (who singwhile they weave), a procession, and the religious ceremonies honoring Hieu Trung Hau. |
