Festival Description

Folkmoot USA is a celebration of the world’s cultural heritage through folk music and dance performed by more than 350 people traveling to Western North Carolina. The festival takes place annually with 10 to 12 countries participating—dressed in colorful costumes, and playing music on unique instruments. The international folk festival is held each summer in the cool, green mountains of North Carolina. Learn about and be entertained by dance and music traditions from various regions of the world. More than 200 folk groups from over 100 different countries have shared their heritage with Folkmoot enthusiasts.
