Note: No festival will take place in 2010. Starting in 2002 the Oshawa Jazz and Blues Festival has continued to evolve and grow. The Festival begins with a Mardi Gras Street Party prior to the festival’s showcase concert, the Big Event at Memorial Park. The Street Party brings the sounds and flavours of New Orleans, Cajun cooking demonstrations, a spectacular sidewalk sale and a musicians’ parade. The festival hosts some of the best current and up-and-coming female jazz vocalists in Canada, including National Jazz Award winner Heather Bambrick.While the Oshawa Jazz and Blues Festival is growing larger with every summer, the festival remains committed to promoting local talent.
