| Festival Description | The Music Festival is part of a ambitious cultural project to enhance, strengthen and enrich the South Caribbean Coast’s cultural and artistic development of this growing multicultural society predominately afro Caribbean. It is an activity that promotes all cultural artistic expression that celebrates, rescues and cultivates the cultural pride of our youth. The Festival program features artistic presentations, artistic workshops and live concerts. The most recent edition took place in March 2008. This initiative has been produced annually as The South Caribbean Music and Arts Festival which was founded in 1999. Various artistic forms that are available locally, nationally and internationally are represented. In coordination and with the support of public and private enterprises as well as the artists, community members and friends, the organizers hope to institute a permanent program. |
