Festival Description

Launched in 1993 as part of the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of Kitakyushu City, the Theatre Festival in Kitakyushu presents drama performances that have been invited or recommended, alongside other voluntary performances. The Festival also organises workshops for actors and theatre staff. Every year approximately 20 groups and companies participate in the Festival, including participants from countries as far afield as Denmark, Canada and Russia.
