Yokohama Jazz Promenade began in 1993 and presents over 300 musicians at multiple locations around Yokohamo. Each year, in early October jazz musicians and audience members gather to celebrate jazz in concert halls, on street corners, and near the water—Yokohama Jazz Promenade is a popular musical event that is unique for allowing audiences to walk freely from one venue to another during the two days.
