The Hove Festival is a new festival for all people believing that combining the best artists with on site camping, nature, beaches, water and idyllic suroundings form the ultimate festival experience. Hovefestivalen will mixes big international acts with norwegian bands in a unique setting on an island outside Arendal city. Five days filled with the bands you love, and the ones you’ve never heard before. Besides the music, we’ll be sharing experiences from the quirkiest art scenes, watching yet-to-be-released movies and eating delicious ecological food.
Hovefestivalen will be setting new standards for environmental awareness. Not only because we want to preserve the beautiful nature that surrounds the festival, but because we believe that a music festival can make for an interesting way to increase enviromental awareness, both with our audience and our partners. The festival’s aim is to become the leading festival on environmental conservation. And though we’re very concerned about making sure the festival’s impressive surroundings remain untouched, we’re also committed to inspire our visitors and partners to get involved in preserving our planet. We are determined to protect natural habitats, ecosystems and vulnerable areas worth preserving. We’ll make sure the festival area is used in a sustainability and smart manner. This implies minimizing energy consumption, maximizing energy effectiveness, and making sure waste production is kept to a minimum. What is produced of waste will, as far as possible, be recycled. Our partners are obliged to choose products based on life time cost and environmental characteristics. Both permanent and provisional structures and equipment will use materials harmless to environment and health.
