| Festival Description | On the Boards presents the NW New Works Festival showcasing local and regional contemporary dance, theater and music. For 26 years the NW New Works Festival has been the premiere laboratory for the creation of cutting edge, risk-taking performance. The festival features new works in contemporary performance over two weekends on two stages — the main stage, a 300 seat space, and an intimate studio space. Audiences may enjoy seeing works in progress as well as premiere performances that take place in under 20 minutes. The festival participants are selected by a panel of fellow artists and arts administrators. |
