The urban dance festival, since 1996 has been produced annually by Danza Teatro RETAZOS as a joint production with the office of the history of the City of Havana and the Center of Theater of Havana. The aim of the festival is to bring together artistic creators who transform the urban setting of the architecture and spaces with their creativity. The program includes artistic performances, conferences, classes, workshops, and videos involving artists from Mexico, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Ecuador, Italy, USA, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, Norway, Sweden and Japan, among others. Since 1999 the festival has been associated with the “Circuit the International Cities that Dance” (CQD), that was created in Barcelona in 1992. This network includes more than 20 festivales around the world. “OLD HAVANA: CITY IN MOVEMENT” is true cultural event, where national and foreign artists create a mosaic of artistic proposals that enrich the cultural life of the Havana each year.
