| Festival Description | The Folk on the Rocks Music Festival is held at Long Lake in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Each year approximately 25 artists are booked — musicians from Canada, the United States and overseas participate and encompass all musical genres. Artists perform one concert and participate in several workshops. Folk on the rocks receives over 200 submissions a year from artists around the world. Our Selection Committee consideres every submission. We also consider recommendations made by other festival producers, audience members and artists. Programming decisions take into consideration the strength of an artist’s performance and material, the overall variety of the Festival’s artistic program and the artists ability to provide original workshop ideas. |
