| Festival Description | 2008 will be the 11th edition of Lyrique-en-Mer festival de Belle-ile. In addition to the two major operas given to the Citadel will be the Barber of Seville by Rossini, and Tosca by Puccini, and the four churches of Belle-Ile will accommodate a concert of sacred music within the program this year with Brahms’ Requiem Allemand. Lastly, the concert-cocktails and the master classes have become a tradition and attract the many faithful attendees. The “Magic Soirée” in Belle-Ile for our friends of the continent was made it possible in 2007 with three specially chartered boats. For 2008, the two boats—”Trinité-sur-mer”, and “Quiberon” will departure at 3:00pm (15h00) and return that evening after the spectacle has ended. |

Notes—Professional singers conduct for the public master classes for free. The classes allow the young singers to improve their basic teaching skills among experienced singers; and the choral singers of the festival take part in a course of vocal technique given by voice professionals and to present to the public the “slides” from the training of the song.
