| Festival Description | The Annual Newfoundland and Labrador was inaugurated in 1976. Each August the festival takes place at Bannerman Park, St. John’s. Canada’s second-oldest folk festival is spread out over 3 exciting days and is attended by thousands of loyal supporters and visitors. Whether you are looking to sing, dance, hear a Newfoundland traditional story or just sit back and enjoy the music, this event is not to be missed. It is the coming together of community and culture to celebrate a distinct brand of music and tradition. There are activities for the kids, craft concessions/demonstrations and a dedicated Francophone tent. |
