Come enjoy a musical experience unique in Canada! The International Baroque Music Festival in Lamèque is the only one of its kind in the country devoted exclusively to music of the Baroque era (1600-1750). All of the musical selections are performed on period instruments and some of the concerts take place in historic churches. In 2004 a CD was be recorded at the festival in honor of the 400th anniversary of Acadia.
In 2004 the various performances of the International Baroque Music Festival will take place in historic churches in the area with “Rhythm and Dance” as the festival theme. Major concerts, orchestras, choirs, soloists, chamber music, a musical brunch and talks are featured on the program.
