The International Meetings of Young Theatre OKNO is one of most important projects of the Kana Theatrical Centre. Invited artists may speak various languages, but what they have in common is the work of perfecting their craft and finding their own creative method. They all have set out on a journey—in the sense a quest for other cultural areas to learn from and to understand their own traditions. In addition to performances the program includes open presentations of methods of work, films, meetings and workshops. An integral part of the festival is the Polish-German University of Theatrical Tradition which provides young people from both countries the opportunity to learn, discover, ask questions, and talk with the artists.
