| Festival Description | The first Festival took place in 2002, organized on a biennial basis. The festival program includes: performances presented by the participating schools; of the workshops led by internationaly renowned masters of perfoming arts; and fringe presentations. During the previous three editions of the festival Academy had a privilege and a pleasure to host almost 30 schools form all over the world including most countries of Europe, Australia, China, Israel, Japan, and Mexico. An international jury awards prizes to theatre school performances. So far, the jury has been chaired by Jacques Lassalle and Andrzej Seweryn with participation (among others) of Valery Fokin, Boris Kudlicka, Mark Ravenhill, Gabor Zsambecky. Among the workshop leaders we hosted Mario Gonzalez, Kalamadalam Balasubramanian, Włodzimierz Staniewski and Aleksiey Lewinsky, Leszek Bzdyl, Zygmunt Molik, Vladas Bagdonas. The festival gives its participants an opportunity to share their experience and visions and to spend a week together and establish contacts. |
