| Festival Description | Paweł Chynowski, a well-known ballet critic and literary director of the Polish National Opera is the current artistic director of the “Lądek Ballet Summer.” For two weeks in July, music and dance from all over the world dominate in the town of Lądek Zdrój—from classical ballet, modern dance, jazz, and dances inspired by the traditional dances of different nations, to the most contemporary dance techniques popular among young people today. The organizers of the event have arranged for a number of attractions that include—performances of professional ballet ensembles from Poland and from abroad; presentations of young choreographers; a dance parade through the streets of Lądek Zdrój; movie performances; encounters with outstanding artists; as well as evening youth festival parties with international music and dance. Festival participants take part in numerous workshops, meetings, and dance performances offered by the organizers. |
