Festival Description

The biggest puppetry festival in Japan, the annual Iida Puppet Festa features performances by approximately 150 different puppetry troupes in as many as 70 different venues throughout Iida city. Performances range from traditional bunraku puppetry to contemporary acts from all around Japan and abroad.
