The festival seeks to broaden and develop education and appreciation of music through the education of young aspiring musicians. Focusing on the education of young musicians selected from auditions held throughout the world, it presents a wide range of magnificent concerts daily during the festival period between the months of July and August every year. These include performances by young musicians of PMF Academy, faculty members who are also principal players of the world’s leading orchestras, and distinguished visiting artists. PMF celebrated its seventeenth season in 2006. |
