| Festival Description | The “Voices of History” Festival appeared in 1991 in Vologda as a show of performances in the historical and architectural surroundings. Its main open-air stage is the territory of the unique ensemble of the Vologda Kremlin. For 15 years the Kremlin walls have been active participants in more then 90 performances of theatres from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Greece. The artistic program of a festival consists of two parts—open-air performances in the historical and architectural surroundings; and performances on traditional theatre stage corresponding to the principal idea of the Festival “Theatre and History”. Traditionally the festival Jury consists of the leading Russian theatricals. Within the framework of a festival a Russian theatre critics seminar under Professor A. Bartoshevich’s direction will be held. Every day the “Actors’ club” will be organized on the open stage of Vologda Actors’ House. The actors of all theatres will have the opportunity to take part in “kapustnik” program in “Actors’ club”. |
