| Festival Description | Alternativa is one of Europe’s most extensive alternative music festivals with a program that includes rock music, jazz, modern classical music and experimental electronic music. Nonetheless, the festival is open to all forms of alternative contemporary music. It stages projects of minority music genres which are noted for their creative approach. The majority of groups performing at the festival are among the world’s best. Exhibitions, workshops, informal gatherings and other events are an integral part of the festival. Last but not least, new and lesser-known groups which have few opportunities to present themselves to the general public are given their own platform. A panel of experts then selects the most interesting act on this platform. |
