Festival Description

The Stage Challenge® is a unique and exciting opportunity for schools to take part in a dance, drama and design spectacular where the students are the STARS. While the result is a professional event staged in some of New Zealand’s top venues, the Stage Challenge® is about having fun while enjoying a 100% drug free experience. Over 150 schools and over 15,000 students will compete in 25 Stage Challenge® shows across New Zealand annually. Teams of 140 students from each school plan an eight minute performance incorporating a theme of their choice, set to contemporary commercially available music.
