| Festival Description | The National Dance Festival was first held in 1994 and featured participation from traditional dance and classical ballet companies from around the country. It was repeated in 1996 and again in 2001. The aim of the festival is to discover and nurture new performing and choreographic talent with a view to building a strong foundation for the rejuvenation of the contemporary dance scene. |
