| Festival Description | “Lennon Remembered” will take place in honor of John Lennon’s 70th birthday in 2010. The two-month celebration begins on the anniversary of Lennon’s birth date of October 9th and will come to a close on the anniversary of his death — December 9th — marking 30 years to the day of his murder. The festival concert will take place at the Echo Area in Lennon’s hometown of Liverpool. In addition the festival will have more events taking place at the Cavern Club, where a poetry competition will happen. In addition, an exhibition, film festival and lectures on Lennon’s life are also set to be part of the program as well. |
