| Festival Description | The South Beach Comedy Festival is a four-day, diverse and multi-cultural festival that will showcase top comedic performers—taking place on South Beach in Miami. In addition to the headlining performances, the festival will hold an open call at The Improv Comedy Club in Coconut Grove. Aspiring comedians have the opportunity to win a chance to perform at the festival on the Free Comedy Stage on Lincoln Road. The open call winners will move on to the final competition and compete with other local comedians. Clips of all the Improv performances will be posted on the CBS4 website (cbs4.com), where viewers can vote for their favorite comedian, after which the winners of the competition will be announced. The festival performances will take place throughout South Beach at The Jackie Gleason Theater, The Lincoln Theater, and The Colony Theater. Creating a comedy mall down Lincoln Road—audiences will be able to visit the free stand-up stage during the festival, which will premiere on Comedy Central. |
