| Festival Description | The Summer Guitar Festival has been organised in Krzyzowa since 2000. The event features classical guitar workshops (conducted by the most eminent teachers and virtuosos from Poland and abroad), workshops on the acoustic (including also fingerstyle guitars), electric, jazz, bass, flamenco, flamenco guitars, as well as… flamenco dance. DVD presentations, lectures and exhibitions of guitars and music accessories have always been part of the programme of the Festival. The guests of this year’s course will include several masters of international standing: Łukasz Kuropaczewski, Marcin Dylla, Krzysztof Pełech, Antonello Lixi, Andrea Vettoretti. In the evenings, the teachers and participants of the workshops will meet in Piwnica Dzemowa (Jam Session in the basement of the Palace). It is a paradise for joint playing, perfecting the art of improvisation and… creating in general. The scene in the Palace is open for everyone, regardless of their age or abilities. Always under control of responsible supervisors! The Summer Guitar Festival in Krzyzowa is targeted at everybody — professionals and amateurs, beginners and the advanced, primary school and university students. There is no age limit. It is a place for both active go-getters — future virtuosos, and lazy fans — spectators. |

Festival Story:
The Summer Guitar Festival is hosted by the International Teenagers’ Meeting House. The Palace, Stables, Cowshed, Barn, Granary, Gate-house, Wash-house, Carriage House, Gardener’s House… At present, only the Palace represents its original status, the auxiliary buildings only retained their names. The former residence of the Graf von Moltke family is now a modern and excellently managed conference centre with stylish accommodation, a set of richly ornamented seminar rooms, a concert room and a canteen. Guests of the Teenagers’ Meeting House may also use a sports hall, a gym, a sauna, ping-pong tables, a pool table and a football pitch (football matches belong to the tradition of the competition) and a playground for children. The Summer Guitar Festival in Krzyzowa has many advantages: perfect location, accommodation and catering, a safe car park, a rich educational and artistic programme.
