| Festival Description | This event offers different and dynamic programming—with the purpose of promoting new and renowned contemporary productions, as well as Cuban groups, composers, directors and soloists of high artistic quality. The best concert halls in Havana, such as the Amadeo Roldán Theater, the National Theater, the Gran Teatro de la Habana, and the Casa de las Américas—are the usual places where this festival takes place. Besides symphonic, electroacustic, choir and chamber music, and ensemble concerts, there are also conferences, and auditions. Working meetings are arranged where composers, interpreters, and musicologists of different generations offer their opinions regarding the most recent aesthetic trends in Cuba. These are illustrated by recordings and living performances. |
