| Festival Description | Seisiún na h-Eireann is a 3-day festival in the picturesque quiet village of Quin located just 6 miles from Ennis—where the music sessions take place in the pubs. The Festival celebrates the Traditional Irish Music Pub Session. A competition is held, the aim of which is to select the best group playing Irish traditional music in session form. The winner is awarded €5000 and additional prizes. The competition also includes the Best Overseas session and Runners up. Seisiún na h-Éireann is the only festival of its kind in the World. Groups of musicians representing their local pub session are invited to enter. |
