| Festival Description | Galway is unique in many ways, location, culture and craic but as home to the ‘session’, Galway can’t be beaten. The ‘session’ is an Irish phenomenon, and nowhere does it better than Galway. A group of top traditional musicians come together in a pub and play like they were born doing it. These ‘sessions’ are a treat for both musicians and the audience lucky enough to be there. The musicians show their love for their music with their energy and drive while the audience give back their appreciation and admiration. The Galway Sessions, will celebrate its 5th year and is the best example of this special relationship between artist and audience, intimate gatherings in great pubs all day, every day for a full week! |
