Artist feature 2014:
  • Sheryl Crow (USA)
Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Knocknarea Arena at IT Sligo
    • The nine-time Grammy Award winner who has sold more than 35 million albums worldwide. Sheryl Crow has had a string of platinum albums and singles in her career and songs like The First Cut is the Deepest, Every Day is a Winding Road, My Favorite Mistake and All I Wanna Do set the charts on fire worldwide and launched her as one of rock’s superstars. In addition to her own stellar career, Crow has performed with many iconic musicians including the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Luciano Pavarotti, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Don Henley, Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Nicks, B.B. King, Tony Bennett, Kid Rock and Sting. Many critics consider her one of the most charismatic live performers on the music scene. Sheryl Crow says of her most recent release, “Feels Like Home may be the most focused album I’ve ever made. All of my albums have had a few different styles going on in them, and this album definitely has a few different takes on what country music means to me… First and foremost, I just wanted to make sure that for this album I wrote about things that I really knew about – subjects that hit close to home.” It is full of great storytelling and features some of the most powerful and heartfelt vocals of Crow’s career, Feels Like Home is literally an album that she feels she was born to make. “We grew up in Kennett, Missouri, not too far from Nashville, with two radio stations that played country. Clearly, I’m also a girl who loves to rock and fell hard for the Rolling Stones and Dylan – but you’ll notice my favorite rockers also had close ties to country music. And I’ve loved being part of the community here in Nashville, and the fact that my kids are growing up inside of that community.”
