Festival Description	FIDENA presents outstanding international examples of works where figure theatre performances are often unexpected and creative. World premiere performances and collaboration between FIDENA and guest artists take place each year. Children can enjoy numerous shows.

Festival Story:

FIDENA, was founded in Bochum in 1958 and ranks with the most important puppet theatre festivals in Europe. International acknowledged companies and extraordinary new talents characterize the festival. Since 1958 the best and most exciting productions from throughout the world are brought to Bochum to the FIDENA. Companies from Great Britain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa, Austria und Germany present more than extraordinary productions at different stages like Maschinenhalle Friedlicher Nachbar, at the Museum Bochum, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Prinz Regent Theater or on the Husemannplatz, a public place in the centre of the town.
