| Festival Description | This International Folklore Festival promotes the rich popular traditions of the region of Červený Kostelec and features performances of many non-professional folklore groups. Groups have the opportunity to share and exchange skills and materials and offer performances enjoyed by large audiences. The Festival helps encourages the cultural development of children, youth and adults. The Folklore Festival Červený Kostelec is the oldest folklore festival in Bohemia and one of the most important in the Czech republic. The main purpose of the Festival is to keep the popular traditions of the region alive, therefore the festival organisers invite groups from throughout Bohemia, Moravia and abroad in order to broaden the experience for all. |
