| Festival Description | The Festival of New Trumpet Music proudly presents six composer/ trumpeters, each of whom is at the forefront of new music for the trumpet. Performing works commissioned works especially for this occasion, these musicians offer a wide range of sounds and styles that highlight the trumpet in exciting and unexpected ways. This gala six-night event, curated by Dave Douglas, features some of the hottest horns and most distinctive composers from two generations of jazz. Top-rated rhythm sections will accompany the front line for each performance. |
