| Festival Description | The Dutch Mason Blues Festival pays tribute to Canada’s Prime Minister of the Blues each summer in August. Featuring 3 days of Blues, Bikes & BBQ, with outdoor Concerts, a Custom Motorcycle Show, BBQ Competitions, Acoustic Showcases, Artists Fan Fair, Late-nite Blues Jams, Vendor Market and much more! We are very proud to present an incredible line up of artists for our 6th annual Dutch Mason Blues Festival. Joining our international festival ambassador, Blues legend JAMES COTTON, acclaimed award winning artists ROBERT CRAY, JONNY LANG, RONNIE HAWKINS, JOHNNY WINTER, JAMES HARMAN, THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS, RONNIE BAKER BROOKS, ZAC HARMON, THE RESPECTABLES, LAYLA ZOE, MORGAN DAVIS, GARRETT MASON and many more! The 2010 festival event takes place August 13th to 15th at the Truro Raceway & Exhibition Grounds in Bible Hill, Truro, 20 mins from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport and 45 mins from the capital city of Halifax. The venue facility offers all festival amenities including an on site campground for tents and trailers, VIP Deck, seating areas, and a free festival shuttle to local accommodations. The Truro Raceway & Exhibition Grounds has the capacity to host up to 25,000 festival patrons on site. Atlantic Canada’s MOTORCYCLE LIFESTYLE SHOW open in the big tent throughout the Dutch Mason Blues Festival weekend showcasing of some of the hottest custom bikes, accessories and motorcycle apparel, from Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada. Cruise in and check out the PRO BUILDER and CUSTOM BIKE competition, then cast your vote for the ’Peoples Choice Award’ winning bike. Enter the body art TATTOO competition for great prizes. Come enjoy the great taste of barbecue all weekend! Once again you’ll have a hot time at our annual Maritime BBQ Competitions featuring rib cook-off and the Budweiser Best BBQ Sauce competition. Pitch your tent at the on-site campground, visit the many vendors, concessions and exhibitor booths. |
