| Festival Description | The Dylan Thomas Festival’s program celebrates the life and work one of Wales’ most famous writers — Dylan Thomas. The diverse program presents readings, theatre performances, art exhibits, talks, music, and films. The Dylan Thomas Prize is awarded at the festival. The competition is open to writers who must be under 30 years of age, of any nationality, from anywhere in the world, writing in English. The following Genres are eligible for entry — screenplays, novels, theatre and radio plays, collections of short stories, and poetry. To be eligible for entry the Literary Work must have been commercially published, for the first time in the English Language between April 27, 2006 and April 30, 2008. For television writing and theatrical films the script or screenplay must have been commissioned between April 27, 2006 and April 30, 2008. |
