| Festival Description | Festival of Dance of New Iguaçu offers a competitive program and a free performances. For the competition the participanting dance groups compete in seven categorie—from classical ballet to street dances. The dancers come from the states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Espirito Santo and of all the state of Rio De Janeiro. The performance program includes samples of dance in various venues throughout the city—from the public square to shopping areas. Lectures, video exhibitions, and workshops are organized by Tereza Petsold with the support of the City hall of New Iguaçu. |
