Lamu Cultural Festival has been held annually since 2001 and is popular with the local population, who turn out in their thousands to enjoy traditional music and dance, dhow races, donkey races, and swimming competitions. East African Melody Modern Taarab and Sinachuki Kidumbak are expected to keep the crowds jumping and swaying.
