| Festival Description | Strategically held in the Brazilian summer, the Salvador Summer Festival provides a sample of Brazilian music and guarantees a preview to the fascinating Bahian Carnival. This Brazilian Music Festival is becoming a recurring event that began in 1999 and has entertained some 200,000 spectators of all ages. This 5-day festival provides a sample of Brazilian Music from MPB, Pop, Reggae, Pagode, Axe, Rock, Techno and more. In addition to the music shows the festival grounds also has other attractions—a small mixed fair, an electronic music area, a foodc court and an adventure/radical sports area. The Festival is held 10 minutes from the city of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil at the city’s Fair Ground. |
