| Festival Description | This year “Classic in Safed”, establishing tradition of great music in one of Israel’s most magical cities, will join the world in celebrating Mozart’s 250th Birthday with a Mostly Mozart program. Mozart’s music, at the center of the festival, enables us to immerse in dreams of musical perfection while at the same time connect to the music of Bach, Beethoven, Schubert and contemporary composers. The festival will continue its commitment to Jewish composers. This will be entrusted to the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, our principal guest this year. The SCO, the world’s oldest, and one of the best, chamber orchestra’s, active over 60 years in Germany and all over the world, has played with the world’s greatest soloists and under the baton of the world’s greatest conductors. We invite you to join us for yet another magical summer in Safed. |
