| Festival Description | The World Interplay Festival is the largest and most prestigious festival for young playwrights (aged 18-26) in the world—where fifty of the world’s best young playwrights gather in for two weeks of intensive dramaturgy, script development, workshops, forums and artistic and cultural exchange. It is an incredible opportunity for young playwrights to come face to face with like-minded peers, professional dramaturges, youth arts workers and actors to learn more about the craft of writing; be exposed to the rehearsal process and observe the transformation of the written word into live performance. Above all, World Interplay is an event that takes young playwrights seriously and introduces them to Interplay’s established regional, national and international playwrights’ networks. |
