Among arts festivals in the world (Edinburgh, Cannes, Avignon etc.) there is only one that specifically carries the name of a theatre director. This festival carries the name of the great Georgian director Mikhail Tumanishvili. Why precisely this director? Well-known throughout the world, this famous director united all the art forms in his creations. His productions, translating different art forms into theatre language, convinced the viewer that the most important thing in life is faith and love, since precisely in this is found the basis of high morality. This Festival of Arts is a solemn demonstration of artistic creation.

By way of enormous labor the creators of this festival have brought together high-art productions from all points across the world. They gathered all these treasures in one place—in Georgia, and brought to the Georgian viewer wholesome multi-dimensional spiritual nourishment. At the very same time the aim of the creators of this festival is to acquaint the guests with the host country.
