The National Dance Festival is held annually in Namibia’s National Theatre. Expect to see ballet alongside modern dancing and African alongside European. Applications for the festival are accepted from throughout the country. The festival seeks to encourage the growth of different forms of dance in Namibia.

Enjoying Windhoek’s relaxed atmosphere—the pubs serve beers brewed to traditional Bavarian recipes and the shops sell typical German foods. The streets are full of the colorful clothing of the different Namibian tribes. Windhoek is the gateway to Namibia’s other attractions. Hiking in Fish River Canyon, game viewing in Etosha National Park and ballooning in the Namib Desert are only a few of the options.
