The annual Tnternational Festival of modern dance “Kizgilt Zhal” (Pink Mane) is held in the southern capital of Kazakhstan of Almaty. It presents new names of talented performers and choreographers who work at the cross-roads of classical ballet, contemporary dance (break, step, hip-hop, jungle) and pantomime. Alla Burenkova, president of the Youth Cultural Center “Pink Mane” and the director of the Theater of Plastique “Pink Mane” is a dancer herself and is the key figure of the event.
