The festival aims at promoting and strengthening national cultural traditions of the Tatars, popularizing their literary, musical and other performing arts; recognizing artistic talents and establishing contacts between different generations and ethnic groups. The ensembles or solo artists, whose repertoir includes folklore, as well as works by classical and contemporary composers participate in the festival. The festival includes competitions in singing, instrumental genre, dance, story-telling and composition.
