| Festival Description | The Malmö Festival, one of Sweden’s biggest and most loved festivals. Some of Sweden’s most popular artists will perform at the celebrated outdoor concert in Malmö’s Stortorget. An “El Dorado” of experiences for all senses. What’s more, visiting the festival won’t cost you a thing! One of the foremost reasons for many people to visit the Malmö Festival is the music. The stage programmes contain everything from opera to hip-hop and heavy metal. The artists currently on tour draw the largest audiences to the Stora scenen—it is not unusual to have an audience of 25,000 people. At Mölleplatsen three tents hosts both Swedish and international bands in various music genres, for example rock, pop, electroclash, world music and jazz. The Festival’s Music Tents are mainly run by Malmö’s various associations. The Tents are directed towards the various music genre such as, for example, blues, swing, 60s, jazz and folk music. |
