| Festival Description | 2005 marked the first time in the history of the Young People's Artistic and Cultural Biennial that a region other than Bamako played host to the event; Ségou left its cultural as well as geographical mark on the festival, according to attendees. Theatrical performances, music, street-side sales of art and artisan work, and a "mega concert" to memorialize the festival's opening evening are just a handful of the possibilities for the 2006 edition. |
